Inaugurado el 27 de Oct. de 1903 por el Gral. Porfirio Díaz con la escenificación de la Ópera Aída de Guiseppe Verdi, este Teatro ha sido anfitrión de remarcables obras. Un orgulloso símbolo de la cultura en México. Its first play was Guiseppe Verdi's Aida in October 1903. This Theatre has been hosted of remarcables plays from all over the world.
